About Colin

Pat Moholt, Myself, Rob DunnMy name is Colin O'Keefe and I'm the publisher of The Grizzoulian. I'm in my third year at the University of Montana and second as part of the School of Journalism's professional program.

I was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and moved to Seattle before heading out to Missoula for school. Prior to coming to school, I had never heard of Griz sports, but since I've become as big a fan as any student. At football games, you can find me in the first row, usually between goal line and the 5 yard line. For hoops, it's the front row, right side, in the bleachers, not the side with the chairs. You can also see me occasionally embarrassing myself on the court in student giveaways. I have yet to make a half-court shot.

During my freshman year, I had a brief stint trying to help out the UM marketing department better market the basketball program. During my sophomore year, I spent a few weeks as a student manager ball and water-boy for the Griz basketball team. After which I realized things are much more fun in the stands.

Besides being a big fan of the Griz, I'm also a fan of the Cubs, Mariners, Packers and Fighting Irish.

About this blog

I started The Grizzoulian in the spring of 2006. Every summer, I work full-time for a company called LexBlog. They make blogs for lawyers. As a way of learning the system, I was offered the opportunity to start a blog on their platform. As an individual obsessed with sports desperately seeking greater exposure for my school, the subject was an easy choice.

The blog covers the University of Montana Grizzlies and everything surrounding them, whether it be opponents, facilities or any other issue that in some way affects the Griz. On top of that, I will occasionally slip in random notes on sports in general.

Feedback for the blog is always welcome. Comments to individual entries are great and strongly encouraged. You can also email me with any feedback or tips you may have. There's also a form on the Contact page where you can send in feedback.
