Griz get killed on Senior Night by 52

I cannot imagine how that could've possibly gone any worse. Here are Tinkle's words with reporters. Sorry for the low volume. As could be expected, everyone was a little quiet tonight. The second question is about Jeremiah Dominguez.

I'm sorry I don't have more tonight. Rough game.

I did catch one thing that was disappointing to hear. Overheard one Griz player talking to a couple guys about what happened following the game. Supposedly Tinkle comes in yelling, tearing things up, maybe tossing stuff around. You know, how a coach probably has a right to act after his team gets blown out by 52. Well, a couple guys started chuckling as they were getting ready to leave and while this was going on. Tinkle gets mad and I believe they are suspended for the next practice. Not a good thing to hear; for the coach or for these players.

Next up: Idaho State in Pocatello. Should be a very intense rivalry game after what transpired a week ago. While I'm not completely sure, I believe I will be there with a few other students.

Colin.

One of your previous posts called tonight's game an opportunity to make a statement. I thought so, too.

Now I can only wonder what the hell the statement was?

I don't ever remember listening to such a pathetic basketball event before. (It was an event, not a game, not a competition.) I mean really, there are very few players that haven't been on the wrong end of a bad loss ... but 50+ points? ... at home? ... on senior night? ... playoff positions on the line?

PSU was within very tiny margins of doubling the Griz in rebounds, FG%, 3-FG% ... hell, their 3-FG% was within a percentage point of the Griz FT%.

Hopefully, the Griz can just look at this, shake their heads, and write it off as something that can never happen again. Realistically, unless you can't shake it off, a loss is a loss. The only positive to be taken from this is that you have to be positive it really sucks to play this poorly.

Shake it off, guys. Go, Griz!

I am officially convinced that our guys have stopped listening 2 Tinkle...What really pisses me off about this game is that Andrew Strait and Matt Martin go out on senior night like this...After all they've given our team our guys couldn't strap it up and win this one for them...It also doesn't help when u can't hit any threes and u can't even rebound the basketball i mean we don't have a size problem we have plenty of size, our coaches need 2 work on rebounding with our bigs...I've said it all year we get killed on the glass by teams that match up with us in size...I just want 2 forget about this loss and go down 2 Poky and pull out another win against the Bengals

Let's face it. Wayne was hired for the express reasons of getting his daughter signed to the Lady Griz... Once Jos inks, Tinks is done. Just a theory...
