Eastern coach is confident going into game with Griz
Paul Wulff, head coach of the Eastern Washington Eagles, is optimistic and confident heading into this weekend's game against the Griz at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. Why shouldn't he be? The Eagles have won more games (4) at the daunting Wash-Griz than any other road team. Here are a few quotes from Wulff in The Easterner, EWU's weekly student newspaper.
"We didn't execute well against Portland State and as a coach that drives you nuts," said Wulff. "But we'll improve and get it done. I know our players like to play in Missoula and it will be a huge challenge for us like it always is. But it's a game that is winnable and our players know that. If we can improve our execution in all facets of the game, we expect that we will have a great chance to win the game when the fourth quarter rolls around."This is going to be a good game. As many have already said, if the Griz give the Eagles they same amount of effort they gave Weber, EWU is going to add a fifth victory at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
"We're going get a game plan, get our kids ready to play hard, go in and execute and go in and win the ballgame," Wulff said.

WANT TO SEE THE B BALL BACK LIKE IT WAS IN THE HEATHCOAT MONTY BRANDENBERG YEARS.
I want to see it back too. I was going to wait until the first official practice to check things out but I may have to go to one of their scrimmages early. This football is killin me.
If you have any ideas or connections that may help boast griz hoops, feel free to let me know. Hoops just has to come back. With football's weak schedule, this town is ripe for the taking.
PROBLEM
INTERSESSION STUDENTS NOT AROUND IN HEART OF SEASON.
NEED TO HAVE AT LEAST 3 STRONG WINNING SEASONS AND SOME SUCCESS AGAINST SOME BIG GUNS LIKE ZAGS,COUGS, AND GET THESE TYPE OF TEAMS AT HOME LIKE WE DID AGAINST STANFORD. THE PLACE WAS ELECTRIC TWO YEARS AGO WHEN WE BLEW THEM AWAY.
LETS HOPE TINKS CAN GET THE FIRE IN THE TEAMS BELLY LIKE KRYKO DID. I WAS VERY DISAPPONTED IN WHAT I SAW LAST YEAR BUT I THINK THAT WILL CHANGE. TINKS IS A GOOD RECRUITER AND A CLASS ACT SO I HOPE HE DOES WELL.
I HAVE READ A LOT OF OPINIONS ON STAYING OR LEAVING THE BSC. THE COMMENT I SEE MOST IS IF WE LOSE GAMES THE FANS WILL STOP COMING. WELL IF WE HAVE A FEW BAD SEASONS PLAYING THESE NO NAMES WE WILL MOST DEFINITLY LOSE OUR CROUD AND TRUST ME THIS WILL HAPPEN SOMETIME IT ALWAYS DOES. BUT IF WE ARE PLAYING GOOD TEAMS AND ARE ONLY AVERAGE WE WILL STILL FILL THE HOUSE. WE USED TO HAVE BOISE ST. NEVADA AND IDAHO IN THE BSC AND IT WAS MORE FUN THEN.
