Where to find Griz jerseys...in Seattle
I spotted this on my way from the office to Starbucks. I managed to take a quick picture with the cell phone. This is the first time I've seen the new Griz jerseys in a brick and mortar store. Also the first time I've seen any Montana apparrell at a store in Seattle. This store is down in Pioneer square, on First Ave on the way to the Seahawks Stadium/Safeco Field Area.
Notice who we got a spot next to. No, not the Mets. Other side. Yeah, not too bad.
Just Sports at Southgate has this same jersey on the shelf too.
Yeah, it's good seeing this stuff out here. The more Montana can push itself into the Seattle market, the better of they will be. If Montana wants to become a bigger player in the college football realm, I really believe Seattle is key. There's a staggering number of alumn here and Missoula has the same liberal base that Seattle does. Same type of leftish outdoorsy people. Definitely a viable market.
Yea it's amazing the amount of Griz stuff you see on a daily basis being worn in Seattle. Then again most people in the area don't know anything about how special football is in Montana. It's the closest major city to the zoo and UW hasn't been very good as of late. UM should really market the University and recruit players hard in this area.
Agreed. UM may have missed a prime time to market the program. Looks like Locker may have kick started something of a resurgence.
